What Jolly Candy does
GingerBright swings a candy, dealing damage to enemies and reducing their ATK.
Two things are worth separating there. The damage is unconditional — the swing connects and hurts. The ATK reduction is not. It applies on a roll, and the wiki describes the roll like this: there is a stated Debuff Application Rate when the caster’s Focus equals the target’s RES, and that rate goes up when GingerBright’s Focus is higher or down when the target’s RES is higher.
In practice that means the debuff half of the skill is a stat check, not a guarantee. Against low-RES trash it should land often; against a boss with high RES it may not land at all. The exact percentage at the equal-Focus-equal-RES baseline is not something we have a verified number for, so we are not printing one.
Per-stat base values for C-rarity Cookies are not published in the data we work from, so there is no ATK/DEF/HP table on this page. The stat templates we do have verified are for SSR Cookies only.
The one number that is solid is the cooldown, and it is the interesting one. 2.75 seconds is fast enough that Jolly Candy is going off roughly twice for every one activation of a 5-second skill. For a debuff that lands on a chance roll, more attempts is the most direct way to get more uptime out of it — a skill that rolls twice as often fails twice as gracefully.
Duration Synergy: two of the three providers are U-rarity
GingerBright receives Duration Synergy and grants nothing. That is normal: only 18 of the 69 launch Cookies grant a Synergy at all, so the large majority of the roster is on the receiving end only.
Duration extends how long a skill’s effect lasts, which is a clean fit here. The ATK reduction is a timed debuff, so a longer duration means enemies spend more of the fight hitting softer — and it partially covers for the rolls that fail.
Three Cookies grant Duration:
| Provider | Rarity | Class | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cheerleader Cookie | U | Support | 5.0s |
| Coffee Cookie | U | Support | 5.0s |
| Milk Cookie’s Crunchy Strong Pediatrician | SSR | Support | 7.0s |
The best pairing is Cheerleader Cookie or Coffee Cookie, and they are interchangeable on cooldown — both cycle at 5.0 seconds against the SSR provider’s 7.0. Both are U rarity, one step above C. This is the pattern that keeps showing up across the roster: the cheap Cookie is not the fallback option for a Synergy, it is frequently the better one. You do not need to pull Milk Cookie’s Crunchy Strong Pediatrician to turn GingerBright on. You need a Cookie you probably already have.
All three providers are Supports, so whichever you run also fills a back-line slot rather than competing with GingerBright for the front. Full provider list on the Synergy page.
Against the other C-rarity Charge Cookies
| Cookie | Skill | Cooldown | Receives |
|---|---|---|---|
| GingerBright | Jolly Candy | 2.75s | Duration |
| GingerBrave | Brave Dash | 4.0s | Range |
| Strawberry Cookie | Stay Away… | 4.0s | Duration |
| Skater Cookie | Rolling Faster | 4.75s | Chain |
| Sugar Gnome | Hammer of Revolution | 4.25s | Range |
GingerBright is the fastest of the five by a clear margin — 1.25 seconds ahead of the next-quickest, which is a large gap at this end of the cooldown scale. GingerBright is also the only one of the five whose skill text includes a debuff rather than just movement or damage.
Strawberry Cookie is the direct comparison, because it receives the same Duration Synergy from the same three Cookies. One Cheerleader or Coffee covers both, so running them together costs nothing extra in team slots. Strawberry Cookie cycles slower at 4.0s.
The honest framing: this is a comparison between C-rarity Cookies. Being the best of the five is not the same as being competitive with an SR or SSR Charge Cookie, and we are not claiming it is. GingerBright wins its own bracket.
Team fit
Light element. Extra damage dealt to Dark, extra damage taken from Dark, since Light and Dark counter each other both ways — see the element chart.
The team GingerBright wants is not complicated: a Tank to hold the front, a Ranged carry behind, and Cheerleader Cookie or Coffee Cookie as the Support so the Duration Synergy is live. Because Jolly Candy applies no gathering, knockback or pull, it will not disrupt a teammate’s positioning — a genuine advantage of a plain skill.
The ATK reduction is a defensive contribution rather than a damage one. If your team is dying, GingerBright is helping. If your team is killing too slowly, GingerBright is mostly contributing skill damage on a fast timer and not much else.
Should you build GingerBright?
Early on, yes. Long-term, no — and there is no Synergy reason to keep them.
The case for building GingerBright early is real: the fastest cooldown in the C Charge bracket, a debuff nobody else at that rarity has, and a Synergy provider that costs you a U-rarity Cookie instead of an SSR pull. That is a lot of function for very little investment.
The case against keeping GingerBright is the one that applies to most C-rarity Cookies. Some low-rarity Cookies stay permanently useful because they grant a Synergy that nothing else supplies — Cheerleader and Coffee are exactly that. GingerBright grants nothing. Everything GingerBright provides is provided better by a higher-rarity Charge Cookie once you have one, and there is no unique support role holding the slot open.
So: level GingerBright while the roster is thin, run Cheerleader or Coffee alongside, and replace GingerBright with a higher-rarity Charge Cookie when one shows up. Nothing is lost when you do. Placement across the full roster is on the tier list tool.

FAQ
What is GingerBright's skill in Cookie Run: Crumble?
Jolly Candy, on a 2.75-second cooldown. GingerBright swings a candy that damages enemies and reduces their ATK. The ATK debuff is not guaranteed — it lands on a chance roll that compares GingerBright's Focus against the target's RES.
Which Cookies boost GingerBright in Cookie Run: Crumble?
GingerBright receives Duration Synergy. Three Cookies grant it: Cheerleader Cookie (U, 5.0s), Coffee Cookie (U, 5.0s) and Milk Cookie's Crunchy Strong Pediatrician (SSR, 7.0s). The two U-rarity Supports have the shorter cooldown, so a cheap Cookie is the better provider here.
Is GingerBright good in Cookie Run: Crumble?
GingerBright has the shortest cooldown of the five C-rarity Charge Cookies at 2.75 seconds, and is the only one of them that applies a debuff. The ceiling is still a C-rarity one, so treat GingerBright as an early-game Charge slot rather than a long-term investment.
What element is GingerBright in Cookie Run: Crumble?
Light. GingerBright deals extra damage to Dark enemies and takes extra damage from Dark, because Light and Dark counter each other both ways.
