Cookie Run: Crumble Synergy — All 7 Types & Every Provider

CookieRun: Crumble has seven Synergies: Pierce, Chain, Volley, Projectile Speed, Rapid Fire, Range and Duration. Each Cookie can receive a fixed set of them, and a much smaller group can grant one — only 18 of the 69 launch Cookies grant Synergy at all. Building a team is mostly the job of matching those 18 to the Cookies you actually want to carry.

What Synergy does

Synergy is the mechanic that separates Crumble from most idle RPGs. Every Cookie attacks automatically, so you are not choosing when skills fire — you are choosing which skills amplify each other. When a Cookie receives a Synergy it can use, its skill is enhanced along that specific axis:

Synergy What it increases
Pierce How many enemies an attack passes through
Chain How many times a skill chains
Volley How many projectiles fire at once
Projectile Speed How fast projectiles travel
Rapid Fire How many times a skill activates
Range The area a skill covers
Duration How long a skill lasts

Giving and receiving are decided independently. A Cookie that grants Range does not necessarily benefit from Range itself, so you cannot infer one from the other.

Every Synergy provider

This is the part no other English guide lists. Sorted by how many Cookies want each Synergy against how few can supply it:

Synergy Providers Cookies that benefit Who grants it
Range 4 18 Cream Soda (SSR), Toothpaste (SSR), Macaron (SR), Knight (U)
Duration 3 14 Milk Cookie’s Crunchy Strong Pediatrician (SSR), Cheerleader (U), Coffee (U)
Volley 3 9 Herb (SR), Tiger Lily (SR), Cheesecake (R)
Rapid Fire 2 12 Grapevine (R), Orange (SR)
Projectile Speed 2 8 Pomegranate (SSR), Alchemist (R)
Pierce 2 6 Strawberry Shortcake (SSR), Rockstar (SR)
Chain 2 5 Skating Queen (SSR), Lime (SR)

Three things fall out of this table immediately.

Rarity does not predict who provides. Knight Cookie is a U-Rarity Cookie — one of the cheapest units in the game — and it is one of only four sources of Range, the most in-demand Synergy in the roster. Grapevine, an R-Rarity starter you are handed for free, is one of only two sources of Rapid Fire, which twelve Cookies want. Cheerleader and Coffee, both U-Rarity, cover Duration. If you were planning to bench everything below SSR, this is the reason not to.

Rapid Fire is the tightest squeeze. Twelve Cookies benefit from it and only two grant it. If your carry wants Rapid Fire, your team is effectively choosing between Grapevine and Orange Cookie — there is no third option in the launch roster.

Pierce and Chain are the rarest to cover, at two providers each. Both Chain providers sit on an 8-second cooldown, so even with one on the team the buff is intermittent rather than permanent.

Cooldown decides how often the buff is actually up

A provider’s cooldown matters as much as which Synergy it grants, because the buff is not permanent — the skill text gives each provider a Synergy value and a separate Synergy Duration.

Herb Cookie is the clearest example: Sunny Garden grants Volley Synergy 1 for 3.5 seconds on a 6.5-second cooldown, so it is up a little over half the time. Pomegranate Cookie’s Pomegranate Magic grants 75% Projectile Speed Synergy for 9 seconds on a 10-second cooldown — nearly permanent, which is a large part of why it is regarded as the strongest all-round Support in the game.

Among providers, the cooldown spread is wide:

  • Cream Soda Cookie — 3.5s, the shortest of any provider, granting Range
  • Alchemist Cookie — 4.5s, granting Projectile Speed
  • Knight, Cheerleader, Coffee — 5.0s, granting Range and Duration
  • Rockstar, Tiger Lily, Pomegranate — 10.0s, the longest

A 10-second provider with a short Synergy Duration will spend most of the fight doing nothing for your carry. Check both numbers, not just the Synergy name.

How to use this when building a team

Work backwards from your carry, not forwards from your best pulls:

  1. Find what your main damage dealer receives. Every Cookie’s Synergy is listed on the tier list — filter by Synergy to see both sides at once.
  2. Find a provider for it. There will be between two and four in the whole game. Do not skip a Cookie because it is U or R rarity; four of the eighteen providers are U or R.
  3. Check the provider’s cooldown. Short cooldown plus long Synergy Duration means near-permanent uptime. Long cooldown plus short duration means an occasional spike.
  4. Only then fill the remaining slots by role — a frontline Charge, a Tank to hold the line, and Ranged damage behind them.

Team-wide buffs like Pomegranate’s ATK increase apply regardless of Synergy matching, so a strong Support is rarely a wasted slot even when the Synergy does not line up.

Sources and what is still unverified

Skill names, cooldowns and Synergy assignments for all 69 launch Cookies are read from the in-game data as documented on the Cookie Run Wiki per-Cookie Crumble pages, checked on August 5, 2026. Individual figures were cross-checked against independent English coverage where available and agreed.

What we have not verified: whether two providers of the same Synergy stack, and whether Synergy values scale with a provider’s promotion level. The skill text lists a value and a duration but does not state stacking behaviour, and we are not going to guess at it. This page will be updated once it is confirmed in live play.

FAQ

How many Synergies are in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Seven: Pierce, Chain, Volley, Projectile Speed, Rapid Fire, Range and Duration. Each Cookie has a fixed set it can receive, and a much smaller number of Cookies can grant one. Giving and receiving are decided independently — a Cookie that grants Range does not necessarily benefit from Range.

Which Cookies grant Synergy in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Only 18 of the 69 launch Cookies grant any Synergy. Range has the most providers at four (Cream Soda, Toothpaste, Macaron and Knight); Pierce, Chain, Projectile Speed and Rapid Fire have just two each. Rarity is not a guide — Knight Cookie is a U-Rarity Cookie that grants Range, and Grapevine is an R-Rarity Cookie that grants Rapid Fire.

What is the rarest Synergy to cover in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Pierce and Chain. Each has only two providers in the entire launch roster, and both of the Chain providers — Lime Cookie and Skating Queen Cookie — sit on an 8-second cooldown, so the buff is not close to permanent.

Does Synergy stack in Cookie Run: Crumble?

The in-game skill text lists a Synergy value and a Synergy Duration separately for each provider — for example Herb Cookie grants Volley 1 for 3.5 seconds on a 6.5-second cooldown, so the buff is up about half the time. Whether two providers of the same Synergy stack their values is not stated in the skill text, and we have not verified it in live play.
