Cookie Run: Crumble — Ion Cookie Robot (SSR Tank)

Ion Cookie Robot is an SSR Water-element Tank in CookieRun: Crumble. Its skill Ion Shield runs on a 7-second cooldown and is the only SSR Tank skill that puts shields on other Cookies.

What Ion Shield does

Three stages:

1. Charges forward, damaging enemies in its path
2. Grants shields to itself and to low-HP allies
3. After some time, transforms, granting shields again

The targeting detail is the important one: the shield goes to low-HP allies, not to random ones. It is triage — the protection lands on whoever is closest to dying, which is exactly where it does the most good.

The two-stage structure (shield, then transform and shield again) means one activation covers a longer window than the 7-second cooldown suggests.

The Tank to take when you are dying

All six SSR Tanks have identical base stats — 124 ATK / 120 DEF / 3,255 HP. They are equally hard to kill. What differs is what they do for the other eleven Cookies:

Only two of the six protect anyone but themselves: Ion Cookie Robot and Nameless Cake Hound. The difference between those two is worth stating precisely:

• Nameless Cake Hound reduces damage taken by nearby allies — a percentage cut, always on, applied to everyone in range.
• Ion Cookie Robot grants shields to low-HP allies — a flat buffer, targeted at whoever needs it.

Damage reduction is better against steady chip damage. A shield is better against a spike that would otherwise kill someone outright. If your Cookies are dying suddenly, take the robot; if they are being ground down, take the hound.

Who buffs it

It receives Volley Synergy from three Cookies:

Herb Cookie is the pairing. It has the shortest cooldown of the three and it heals — so Herb plus Ion Cookie Robot gives you healing and shielding in two slots, which is about as much survivability as two Cookies can provide.

Note that Volley also feeds Pomegranate and Toothpaste, so a Herb pick is rarely wasted regardless of who else is on the team.

Team fit

It belongs on teams that are losing Cookies rather than losing damage races. Pair it with Herb Cookie and the survivability problem is generally solved; add a Ranged carry behind them and let the frontline hold.

Its Water element beats Fire and loses to Grass — see the element chart — which matters more for a Tank than for a back-line unit, since the Tank is the one taking hits.

Should you build it?

Yes, if survival is your bottleneck. It is the only SSR Tank that puts a shield on somebody else, and the low-HP targeting means that shield is never wasted on a healthy Cookie.

Skip it if your team already survives comfortably. At 7 seconds it is second-slowest among SSR Tanks, and a faster Tank contributes more when nothing is dying.
