Cookie Run: Crumble — Ninja Cookie (C Ranged)

Ninja Cookie — CookieRun: Crumble

Ninja Cookie is a C-rarity Dark-element Ranged Cookie in CookieRun: Crumble. Their skill Swift Strike runs on a 2-second cooldown — throw several shuriken, damage enemies, repeat. C is the lowest rarity in the game, and 2 seconds is a shorter cooldown than most Cookies of any rarity get.

What Swift Strike does

The in-game text is one line: throws several shuriken, dealing damage to enemies. That is the whole kit. No damage over time, no knockback, no gathering, no shield, no ally buff. Compared to the SSR Ranged Cookies, who almost all carry a second effect bolted onto their damage, Ninja Cookie carries nothing extra.

What they carry instead is frequency. 2 seconds is the entire cooldown, so Swift Strike fires roughly three times in the window a 6-second skill fires once. On a Cookie with a debuff or a gather, a short cooldown matters because the utility lands often. On Ninja Cookie it matters in the simplest possible way: more shuriken.

Per-stat base values for C-rarity Cookies are not published in the data we have, so we are not going to print ATK, DEF and HP numbers for Ninja Cookie. The known stat templates in Crumble are the SSR ones (SSR Ranged is 155 ATK / 60 DEF / 2,170 HP), and a C-rarity Cookie will sit well below that. Treat Ninja Cookie’s damage as coming from skill frequency rather than from raw stats.

Volley is the Synergy, and three Cookies grant it

Ninja Cookie receives Volley Synergy. It grants nothing back — more on that below.

Provider Rarity Class Cooldown
Herb Cookie SR Support 6.5s
Cheesecake Cookie R Support 8.0s
Tiger Lily Cookie SR Charge 10.0s

Herb Cookie has the shortest cooldown of the three at 6.5 seconds, which normally decides the pairing: a Synergy provider that cycles faster keeps the buff up more of the time.

The more useful line for most accounts is the second one. Cheesecake Cookie is only R rarity, and at 8 seconds it is 1.5 seconds behind the best SR option. That is the pattern this site keeps running into across the roster — the cheap Cookie covers the Synergy, and the expensive Cookie covers it slightly better. If you own Cheesecake and not Herb, you are not locked out of anything; you are running Ninja Cookie at approximately full effect.

Tiger Lily Cookie is the awkward one. Ten seconds is the longest cooldown of the three, but Tiger Lily is a Charge, not a Support, so it fills a frontline slot instead of a back-line one. If your team already needs a Charge, Tiger Lily provides Volley without costing you a slot you wanted for something else.

Volley is also the Synergy that Ion Cookie Robot receives, so one provider can serve a Tank and Ninja Cookie at the same time. The full provider list for every Synergy is on the Synergy page.

Only 18 of the 69 launch Cookies grant a Synergy to their teammates. Ninja Cookie is not one of them. That matters more than it sounds, because granting a Synergy is the one thing that keeps a low-rarity Cookie in a team permanently. A U or C Cookie that hands out Range or Volley stays relevant forever, since a Synergy from a cheap Cookie is worth the same as a Synergy from an expensive one.

Ninja Cookie has no such anchor. Everything they contribute is damage from their own body, which means they are directly comparable to every other Ranged Cookie you own, and comparison is not a fight a C-rarity Cookie wins for long.

Competition in the class

At C rarity, Ninja Cookie has exactly one Ranged classmate:

Cookie Skill Cooldown Receives Grants
Ninja Cookie Swift Strike 2.0s Volley None
Wizard Cookie Magic Storm 4.0s Rapid Fire None

Ninja Cookie cycles twice as fast. Wizard Cookie depends on Rapid Fire, which is the most heavily contested Synergy in the game — twelve Cookies want it and only two grant it. Volley has three providers, one more than Rapid Fire, and one of them is only R rarity — so Ninja Cookie is the easier of the two to actually get buffed.

Against the real competition — the R, SR and SSR Ranged Cookies — Ninja Cookie loses on stats and loses on utility. That is not a criticism of the design. It is what C rarity means.

Dark element: extra damage to Light, extra damage taken from Light, since Light and Dark counter each other both ways. See the element chart.

Should you build them?

Early on, yes. Long term, no.

Ninja Cookie is one of the better things to put in a Ranged slot before you have pulled anything better, because the 2-second cooldown means the skill is always doing something and because Volley is a Synergy you can cover with an R-rarity Cookie. A C-rarity Cookie that only needs Cheesecake to run at full effect is cheap in every direction — pull cost, levelling cost, team-building cost.

Replace them once you have a Ranged Cookie of R rarity or above that receives a Synergy you can supply. There is no reason to keep investing in a C-rarity body that grants nothing, and Ninja Cookie is not a Cookie you keep for a specific problem the way you keep a debuffer or a gatherer. Spend the upgrade materials on a Cookie you will still be running in a month.

FAQ

What is Ninja Cookie's skill in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Swift Strike, on a 2-second cooldown. Ninja Cookie throws several shuriken that damage enemies. There is no debuff, no gathering and no ally buff attached — it is damage only, fired more often than almost anything else does.

Which Cookies boost Ninja Cookie in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Ninja Cookie receives Volley Synergy, and three Cookies grant it: Cheesecake Cookie (R Support, 8-second cooldown), Herb Cookie (SR Support, 6.5s) and Tiger Lily Cookie (SR Charge, 10s). Cheesecake is only R rarity, so a cheap Cookie covers the Synergy.

Is Ninja Cookie worth building in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Ninja Cookie is a C-rarity Cookie, the lowest rarity in the game, so it is an early-game body rather than a long-term carry. The 2-second cooldown makes it genuinely useful while you are short on Ranged Cookies, but higher-rarity Ranged Cookies replace it later.

What element is Ninja Cookie in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Dark. Light and Dark counter each other both ways, so Ninja Cookie deals extra damage to Light enemies and also takes extra damage from them.
