What Cherry Bomb does
The in-game text is one line: throws cherry bombs, dealing damage to enemies. No pierce, no chain, no knockback, no gather, no debuff on the target, no buff on your own team. The bombs land, they hurt, the cooldown restarts.
We do not have Cherry Cookie’s per-stat base values. The published stat templates cover SSR Cookies only (SSR Ranged is 155 ATK / 60 DEF / 2,170 HP), and no equivalent numbers for R rarity are available to us, so this page does not quote any. If you see R-rarity stat figures elsewhere, check where they came from before trusting them.
What this means in practice: Cherry Cookie is a damage slot with no team-building consequences. Nothing they do interferes with what anyone else is doing — but nothing they do helps anyone else either.
Rapid Fire is the only Synergy, and it is the scarcest one
Cherry Cookie receives exactly one Synergy: Rapid Fire, which increases how many times a skill activates. For a Cookie whose skill is pure undecorated damage, that is the most direct multiplier the system offers. It is also the hardest Synergy in the game to supply.
Only two Cookies across the whole roster grant Rapid Fire:
| Provider | Rarity | Class | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grapevine Cookie | R | Support | 5.5s |
| Orange Cookie | SR | Support | 9.5s |
Grapevine is the pairing. It cycles at 5.5 seconds against Orange’s 9.5, which is close to twice as often, and it is only R rarity — the same tier as Cherry Cookie itself. This is the site’s recurring point about Synergy: the Cookie that unlocks an expensive carry is very often a cheap one. Here the cheap Cookie is not merely adequate, it is strictly the better of the two options, and Grapevine is one of the Cookies the game hands you at the start.
The catch is competition. Twelve Cookies across the roster want Rapid Fire and these two supply it, which is the worst demand-to-supply ratio of any Synergy in CookieRun: Crumble. If you are already running Grapevine to feed an SSR Ranged carry, Cherry Cookie is not going to be the one who gets the buff. Full provider tables are on the Synergy page.
Cherry Cookie grants nothing
Eighteen of the 69 launch Cookies grant a Synergy to their team. Cherry Cookie is not one of them. That matters more than it sounds, because granting a Synergy is the one thing that keeps a low-rarity Cookie on a roster after you have better options — a U-rarity Cookie who is the only source of Range for your SSR Tank stays in the lineup forever.
Cherry Cookie has no such insurance. Everything they contribute is their own damage output, and damage output is the easiest thing in the game to replace with a rarer Cookie.
Competition: the R Ranged Cookies
Cherry Cookie shares the R Ranged bracket with three others, and comes out behind on the one number that is directly comparable.
| Cookie | Skill | Cooldown | Grants | Receives |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lilac Cookie | Chakram Throw | 2.5s | — | Pierce |
| Space Doughnut | Doughnut Beam | 4.0s | — | Pierce |
| Alchemist Cookie | Clinical Trial | 4.5s | Projectile Speed | Range |
| Cherry Cookie | Cherry Bomb | 5.5s | — | Rapid Fire |
Cherry Cookie has the longest cooldown of the four. Lilac Cookie fires at 2.5 seconds, more than twice as often, and receives Pierce, which has a less brutal supply situation than Rapid Fire. Alchemist Cookie is the one to look at hardest: it grants Projectile Speed to the team, which makes it useful on a roster long after its own damage stops mattering.
So among four Cookies of the same rarity and class, Cherry Cookie is slower than all three and the only one that neither grants a Synergy nor sits on a Synergy with decent supply. That is a plain statement of what the data shows, not a tier placement — we have not played the game, and cooldown is not the whole of a Cookie’s value.
Fire element: extra damage to Grass, extra damage taken from Water. See the element chart.
Should you build Cherry Cookie?
Use them early, replace them later.
R-rarity Cookies exist to fill your lineup while your account is young, and Cherry Cookie does that fine. The skill has no drawbacks, needs no setup, and will not fight your other Cookies for positioning. If Cherry Cookie is what you have, play Cherry Cookie.
But there is no long-term reason to invest upgrade materials here. The two arguments for keeping a low-rarity Cookie permanently are that it grants a Synergy nobody else grants, or that it is unusually fast. Cherry Cookie grants nothing and is the slowest in its bracket. When an SSR Ranged Cookie arrives, or even Lilac Cookie at 2.5 seconds, the swap is straightforward.
One narrow exception: if you own Grapevine Cookie and no other Rapid Fire recipient worth buffing, pairing it with Cherry Cookie is a reasonable use of a Synergy you would otherwise be wasting. That is a temporary argument, not a permanent one.
Where the R Ranged Cookies sit relative to the rest of the roster is tracked on the tier list tool.
