What Doughnut Beam does

The in-game text reads: “Fires a beam, dealing damage to enemies.” There is nothing after the comma. No damage over time, no stun, no pull, no shield for the team.

That matters less than it sounds for a low-rarity Cookie. What an R Ranged unit is actually for is filling a damage slot on a team you are still assembling, and a 4-second cycle with no positioning effect does that without interfering with anything else you have built. Space Doughnut will never scatter a pile another Cookie just gathered.

Base stat values for Space Doughnut are not published in the data we work from. The stat templates we can verify cover SSR only, so we are not going to guess at R-rarity numbers.

Pierce, and the two Cookies who grant it

Space Doughnut receives Pierce Synergy. Two Cookies in the roster grant it:

Provider Rarity Class Cooldown
Strawberry Shortcake Cookie SSR Charge 6.25s
Rockstar Cookie SR Support 10.0s

Strawberry Shortcake is the better pairing on the number that usually decides these things: a 6.25-second cooldown re-applies Pierce roughly a third more often than Rockstar’s 10 seconds. Over a long fight that gap compounds.

But this is the awkward part of Space Doughnut’s position, and it is worth stating plainly because it runs against the pattern we see elsewhere on this site. Most Cookies’ Synergies can be covered by something cheap — a U- or R-rarity provider you already own does the job, and rarity stops being a wall. Pierce has no cheap source. The two providers are SSR and SR. There is no U-rarity and no R-rarity Cookie that grants Pierce.

So the practical shape of it is: an R-rarity Cookie whose one Synergy is gated behind a Cookie you probably pulled for a different reason. If you own Strawberry Shortcake, they already sit in your roster as a Charge and cover Space Doughnut for free. If you own neither provider, Space Doughnut runs unbuffed, and an unbuffed pure-damage skill is just a number.

The full provider table for every Synergy is on the Synergy page.

Space Doughnut grants nothing

Only 18 of the 69 launch Cookies grant a Synergy to their team at all. Space Doughnut is not one of them. The gives column is empty.

This is the single biggest thing separating a keeper from a stepping stone at low rarity. A C- or R-rarity Cookie that grants a Synergy stays useful forever, because the buff it hands out does not care how weak its own stats are. Space Doughnut has no such floor. Everything it contributes is its own damage, which is exactly the thing that gets outscaled when better Cookies arrive.

Competition: the other R Ranged Cookies

Cookie Skill Cooldown Grants Receives
Lilac Cookie Chakram Throw 2.5s Pierce
Space Doughnut Doughnut Beam 4.0s Pierce
Alchemist Cookie Clinical Trial 4.5s Projectile Speed Range
Cherry Cookie Cherry Bomb 5.5s Rapid Fire

Two comparisons hurt.

Lilac Cookie is the direct one. Same rarity, same class, same Synergy received, and a 2.5-second cooldown against Space Doughnut’s 4. If you are choosing which of the two to feed your Pierce provider, cooldown is the tiebreaker you have, and it does not point at Space Doughnut.

Alchemist Cookie is the structural one. Alchemist gives up 0.5 seconds of cooldown and in exchange grants Projectile Speed to the team. That is an R-rarity Cookie with a permanent reason to exist. Space Doughnut is half a second faster and brings nothing to anyone else.

Cherry Cookie is the one Space Doughnut clearly beats on cooldown, and Cherry depends on Rapid Fire, the most contested Synergy in the game.

Should you build them?

Early on, yes — then replace them. That is the honest answer for most R-rarity Cookies and it is the answer here, with one wrinkle: Space Doughnut does not have the usual escape hatch. The reason you keep a low-rarity Cookie past its useful life is that it grants a Synergy nothing else covers. Space Doughnut grants none.

Levelling priority, if you are choosing among R Ranged Cookies:

  • You own Strawberry Shortcake or Rockstar — Pierce is live, and Space Doughnut is a reasonable body until an SSR Ranged Cookie replaces it. Check whether Lilac Cookie is also in your roster first; the 2.5-second cooldown makes Lilac the better recipient of the same buff.
  • You own neither Pierce provider — Space Doughnut is running with no Synergy at all. Alchemist Cookie is the better investment, because Alchemist’s value is what it hands the team rather than what it receives.
  • You have SSR Ranged Cookies levelled — move on. Nothing in this kit survives that comparison.

Light element: extra damage to Dark, extra damage taken from Dark. Both directions apply. See the element chart, and the tier list tool for how players are voting across the roster.

FAQ

What is Space Doughnut's skill in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Doughnut Beam, on a 4-second cooldown. It fires a beam that deals damage to enemies. There is no second effect attached — no debuff, no knockback, no ally buff, just damage on a fixed cycle.

Which Cookies boost Space Doughnut in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Space Doughnut receives Pierce Synergy, and only two Cookies grant it: Rockstar Cookie (SR Support, 10-second cooldown) and Strawberry Shortcake Cookie (SSR Charge, 6.25-second cooldown). Strawberry Shortcake is the faster of the two, but both are higher rarity than Space Doughnut itself.

Is Space Doughnut better than Lilac Cookie in Cookie Run: Crumble?

They are both R-rarity Ranged Cookies that receive Pierce, so they compete for the same Synergy providers. Lilac Cookie cycles at 2.5 seconds against Space Doughnut's 4 seconds. On cooldown alone Lilac is ahead.

What element is Space Doughnut in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Light. Space Doughnut deals extra damage to Dark enemies and also takes extra damage from Dark, because Light and Dark counter each other in both directions.
