What “Stay Away…” does

The full in-game text is short: “Swings lollipop, dealing damage to surrounding enemies.” No debuff, no shield, no ally buff, no reposition. Damage, and that is the whole skill.

The word doing the work is surrounding. Most Charge skills in the roster push forward — GingerBrave dashes, Sugar Gnome detonates a Cookie House ahead. Strawberry hits the ring around themselves instead. For a class that is meant to be standing in the middle of the enemy pile anyway, hitting in every direction is a reasonable fit, and it means Strawberry does not care which way they are facing when the skill fires.

At 4 seconds, the cooldown is genuinely fine. It is faster than two of the four other C-rarity Charge Cookies and identical to GingerBrave’s.

Note on stats: CookieRun: Crumble does not publish per-stat base values for C-rarity Cookies the way it does for SSRs, so there is no ATK/DEF/HP table on this page. Anyone quoting exact C-rarity numbers is guessing. What is safe to say is that C sits at the bottom of the rarity ladder, so Strawberry’s raw stats are below any SSR Charge.

Who buffs Strawberry: Duration Synergy

Strawberry receives one Synergy, Duration, and three Cookies in the roster grant it:

Provider Rarity Class Cooldown
Cheerleader Cookie U Support 5.0s
Coffee Cookie U Support 5.0s
Milk Cookie’s Crunchy Strong Pediatrician SSR Support 7.0s

This is one of the clearest examples of the pattern this site keeps running into: the two best providers are the two cheapest Cookies. Cheerleader and Coffee are both U rarity — the second-lowest tier in the game — and both cycle at 5.0 seconds, a full two seconds faster than the SSR option. The SSR provider here is not an upgrade for the purposes of the Synergy; it is a slower version of what a U-rarity Cookie already gives you.

Either Cheerleader or Coffee is the pairing. They are interchangeable on cooldown, so pick whichever one you have levelled, or whichever element and skill fits the rest of your team. Full provider lists for every Synergy are on the Synergy page.

Strawberry grants nothing

Only 18 of the 69 launch Cookies grant a Synergy to anyone else. Strawberry is not one of them.

That matters more than it sounds. A low-rarity Cookie that grants a Synergy has a permanent job — Grapevine Cookie is R rarity and still worth a slot late because it is one of only two Rapid Fire sources in the game. Strawberry has no such anchor. Their value is entirely their own damage output, and a C-rarity Cookie’s damage output is the first thing your roster outgrows.

So there is no “keep Strawberry forever because nothing else provides X” argument to make here. There is no X.

Competition: the C-rarity Charge Cookies

Five Charge Cookies sit at C rarity, and they are the ones you will actually be choosing between early:

Cookie Skill Cooldown Receives
GingerBright Jolly Candy 2.75s Duration
Strawberry Stay Away… 4.0s Duration
GingerBrave Brave Dash 4.0s Range
Sugar Gnome Hammer of Revolution 4.25s Range
Skater Cookie Rolling Faster 4.75s Chain

The awkward row is the top one. GingerBright receives the same Synergy as Strawberry and cycles 1.25 seconds faster. If you are running a Duration provider, that provider covers both, and the faster Cookie gets more out of it. On cooldown alone, GingerBright is the better home for your Cheerleader or Coffee.

Strawberry’s counter-argument is the skill shape, not the number: a hit on everything around you is not the same as a hit ahead of you, and if your front line is getting surrounded, that difference is real. But it is a situational argument against a flat 1.25-second cooldown advantage, and we have not played the game to tell you how often the situation comes up.

Against GingerBrave and Sugar Gnome, Strawberry is on more even ground — same or better cooldown, and Duration is easier to cover cheaply than Range is, since both fast Duration providers are U rarity.

Element and team fit

Strawberry is Fire: extra damage against Grass enemies, extra damage taken from Water. See the element chart for the full wheel.

Team building around Strawberry is simple because Strawberry asks for almost nothing. One Duration provider in the back — Cheerleader or Coffee, both U rarity and both Supports, so they fill the back-line slot you needed anyway — and a Tank to hold the front while Strawberry gets into the middle of things. No gathering to preserve, no knockback to work around, no positioning conflict with anyone.

Should you build them?

Early on, yes. Long term, no, and there is no exception clause.

Build Strawberry while your roster is thin. The cooldown is respectable, the Synergy is cheap to supply, and a C-rarity Cookie you actually have levelled beats an SSR you do not own. Fire coverage against Grass content is a real reason to have them ready.

Replace Strawberry once you have a Charge of higher rarity, or honestly once you have GingerBright levelled — same rarity, same Synergy, faster cycle. The usual escape hatch for a cheap Cookie is “keep it for the Synergy it grants,” and Strawberry does not grant one.

That is not a criticism of the design. Most of the 69 Cookies are like this. Strawberry is a perfectly functional early Charge with a clean skill and a cheap buff requirement, and that is the entire job.

You can see how the C-rarity Charge Cookies sit next to the rest of the roster on the tier list tool.

FAQ

What is Strawberry Cookie's skill in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Stay Away..., on a 4-second cooldown. Strawberry swings their lollipop and damages surrounding enemies. It hits everything around them rather than in a line ahead, which is unusual for a Charge Cookie.

Which Cookies boost Strawberry Cookie in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Strawberry receives Duration Synergy. Three Cookies grant it: Cheerleader Cookie (U, 5.0s), Coffee Cookie (U, 5.0s) and Milk Cookie's Crunchy Strong Pediatrician (SSR, 7.0s). Both of the fastest providers are U rarity, so you do not need a premium Support to cover Strawberry.

Is Strawberry Cookie worth building in Cookie Run: Crumble?

As an early-game Charge, yes — a 4-second cooldown is competitive and the Duration providers are cheap. Long term, GingerBright is a C Charge that receives the same Synergy on a 2.75-second cooldown, so Strawberry is the kind of Cookie you replace once your roster fills out.

Is Strawberry Cookie the same as Strawberry Crepe Cookie?

No. Strawberry Cookie is a C-rarity Fire Charge with the skill Stay Away.... Strawberry Crepe Cookie is a separate SSR Tank with a different skill and a different Synergy. They share part of a name and nothing else.
