What Burning Spirit does

Two things, both of them damage. Red Pepper kicks enemies for damage, and Burning Spirit deals damage to surrounding enemies. That second word is the part worth noticing: the skill is not a single-target hit and it is not a forward cone. It hits what is around them, which means Red Pepper wants to be standing inside the enemy group, not beside it.

There is no shield, no debuff, no knockback, no ally buff and no gathering. It is one of the plainest skills in the game, and at U rarity that is what you should expect.

Per-stat values at base promotion are not published for Red Pepper in the sources we work from, so this page does not give an ATK / DEF / HP table. For reference, the SSR Charge template is 146 ATK / 85 DEF / 2,635 HP; a U Cookie sits below that, but by how much is not something we can state.

A 0.8-second cooldown is the whole selling point

Charge Cookies are melee bodies that push into the enemy, and the value of a melee skill is how often it lands. Red Pepper’s number is the extreme end of that:

U Charge Cookie Skill Cooldown
Red Pepper Burning Spirit 0.8s
Princess Royal Swing 2.0s
Adventurer Rope Master 6.0s

Red Pepper cycles roughly two and a half times as often as Princess and seven times as often as Adventurer. In a fight where the enemy group is packed and Red Pepper is inside it, that is a lot of activations of an area hit.

The honest caveat: cooldown is not damage. Damage per activation is not published anywhere we can verify, and a skill that fires this often is very unlikely to hit as hard per use as a 6-second skill. A short cooldown tells you the skill is designed as steady chip damage rather than a burst window. Treat 0.8s as a description of how the Cookie plays, not as proof that they out-damage anyone.

Who buffs Red Pepper, by name

Red Pepper receives one Synergy: Range. Four Cookies grant it.

Provider Rarity Class Cooldown
Cream Soda Cookie SSR Charge 3.5s
Knight Cookie U Tank 5.0s
Toothpaste Cookie SSR Support 6.5s
Macaron Cookie SR Support 7.0s

Cream Soda Cookie is the best pairing, on cooldown alone. Synergy effects are tied to the provider’s own skill cycle, so a 3.5-second provider brings the buff round roughly twice as often as Toothpaste or Macaron. Cream Soda is also a Charge, so it sits in the same part of the formation Red Pepper does.

The more useful line for a new account is the second row. Knight Cookie is U rarity, the same tier as Red Pepper, and it covers the same Synergy at 5.0 seconds. You do not need an SSR to turn Red Pepper’s Range on. This keeps happening across the roster: cheap Cookies cover the same Synergies expensive Cookies do, and the expensive one is usually buying a better cooldown rather than exclusive access. The full provider list is on the Synergy page.

Range on a Cookie whose skill hits “surrounding enemies” is at least pointed in the right direction. How much area it adds is not a number we have.

Red Pepper grants nothing

Only 18 of the 69 launch Cookies grant a Synergy to their team at all. Red Pepper is not one of them. Everything Red Pepper contributes is their own output, which matters when you decide who to cut later: a Cookie that grants a Synergy can earn a slot even when its own numbers are outdated, and a Cookie that grants nothing cannot.

That is the structural difference between Red Pepper and a low-rarity Cookie like Knight. Knight is also U rarity, but Knight is the reason someone else’s Range works.

Competition

Within U Charge, the three-way comparison is above, and it is not a close fight on any single axis. Red Pepper has the fastest cycle. Princess competes for the same Range providers, so if you are already running Cream Soda or Knight, both Cookies benefit from the same slot. Adventurer receives Duration instead and cannot share.

The larger competition is vertical, not horizontal. Charge is a well-populated class and higher-rarity Charge Cookies exist, Cream Soda among them. Red Pepper is a U: they are what you use while your roster is thin. Expecting a U Cookie to hold a slot against an SSR long-term is not how the game is built, and pages that tell you otherwise are guessing.

Fire element: extra damage to Grass, extra taken from Water. See the element chart.

Should you build them?

Yes, early, and without much hesitation. Red Pepper is cheap, is a Charge, and has a skill that is doing something every second of a fight. For clearing early content that is a perfectly good frontline body, and pairing them with Knight gives you a working Range setup out of two U-rarity Cookies.

Then replace them. Red Pepper grants no Synergy, so there is no reason to keep the slot once a higher-rarity Charge is levelled. The usual argument for holding on to a cheap Cookie, that it is the only source of a Synergy your team needs, does not apply here.

Do not sink long-term promotion materials into them if you have an SSR Charge you intend to build instead. Where individual Cookies sit relative to each other is something we track on the tier list tool rather than assert here.

FAQ

What is Red Pepper Cookie's skill in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Which Cookies boost Red Pepper in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Red Pepper receives Range Synergy, granted by four Cookies: Cream Soda Cookie (SSR Charge, 3.5s), Knight Cookie (U Tank, 5.0s), Toothpaste Cookie (SSR Support, 6.5s) and Macaron Cookie (SR Support, 7.0s). Knight is U rarity, so the cheapest Cookie on that list is also one you can get early.

Is Red Pepper Cookie worth building in Cookie Run: Crumble?
