Cookie Run: Crumble — Pomegranate Cookie (SSR Support)

Pomegranate Cookie — CookieRun: Crumble

Pomegranate Cookie is an SSR Dark-element Support in CookieRun: Crumble, and the strongest general-purpose Support in the launch roster. The reason is not the size of her buff — it is that the buff is almost always on.

What Pomegranate Magic actually does

A red beam grants allies an ATK increase and grants Projectile Speed Synergy.

Value At base
Red bean count (Volley) 3
ATK increase 46.5% of Pomegranate’s ATK
ATK increase duration 9s
Projectile Speed Synergy 75%
Synergy duration 9s
Cooldown 10s

9 seconds up, 10-second cooldown

This is the whole case for her, and it is worth doing the arithmetic out loud.

A buff lasting 9 seconds on a 10-second cooldown is active about 90% of the time. Compare that against the other Synergy providers in the game:

Provider Synergy duration Cooldown Roughly up
Pomegranate 9s 10s ~90%
Herb Cookie 3.5s 6.5s ~54%
Milk Cookie’s Crunchy Strong Pediatrician 7.0s intermittent
Rockstar Cookie 10.0s intermittent

A 10-second cooldown looks bad in isolation — it is the longest in the game, tied with Rockstar and Tiger Lily. It is not bad here because the duration nearly covers it. This is exactly why the Synergy page argues you have to read cooldown and duration together rather than judging a Support by cooldown alone.

The ATK buff does not need Synergy matching

The important structural detail: the ATK increase applies to the whole team regardless of Synergy. Only the 75% Projectile Speed portion needs a recipient who can use it.

Eight Cookies receive Projectile Speed, including Madeleine Cookie (SSR Tank), Cream Soda Cookie (SSR Charge), and Strawberry Shortcake Cookie (SSR Charge). If you have none of them, Pomegranate still contributes +46.5% of her ATK to every damage dealer on the team for 9 seconds out of every 10.

That property — useful even when nothing lines up — is what makes her the safest Support to slot into an unfinished roster. Most of this game’s Synergy providers are dead weight if you do not own a matching recipient.

What she receives

Pomegranate receives Volley Synergy, granted by three Cookies: Herb Cookie (SR, 6.5s), Tiger Lily Cookie (SR, 10.0s) and Cheesecake Cookie (R, 8.0s). Herb is the best of the three on cooldown, and Herb is also a healer, so the pairing does double duty.

Note that her own skill lists Red Bean Count: (Volley) 3 — the Volley Synergy she receives increases the number of red beans, which is the delivery mechanism for the buff itself.

Competition: the other SSR Supports

Cookie Skill Cooldown Grants Receives
Pomegranate Pomegranate Magic 10.0s Projectile Speed Volley
Space Doughnut’s Royal Excellence Doughnut Beam 6.2s Rapid Fire, Duration
Milk Cookie’s Crunchy Strong Pediatrician Gentle Remedy 7.0s Duration Projectile Speed
Toothpaste Cookie Electronic Battlefield Orchestra 6.5s Range Volley

Three of the four grant a Synergy, which is unusually dense — Supports are where the providers cluster. Toothpaste is the one to compare against directly if you want raw Synergy value, because Range is the most in-demand Synergy (18 Cookies receive it, versus 8 for Projectile Speed).

The split in plain terms: Toothpaste covers more of the roster; Pomegranate is up more of the time and buffs ATK unconditionally. If your carry receives Range, take Toothpaste. Otherwise take Pomegranate.

Space Doughnut’s Royal Excellence grants nothing at all, which makes it the weakest of the four for team-building purposes despite the same rarity.

Should you build her?

Yes, and earlier than most SSRs. She is the one Support whose value does not depend on what else you own, and Supports are the class where a single good unit changes every team you build afterwards.

Her Dark element means Light enemies hit her harder and she hits them harder — see the element chart — but as a back-line Support she should not be taking hits either way.

Skill name, cooldown, values and Synergy from the Cookie Run Wiki Pomegranate Crumble page, read August 5, 2026. The 46.5% ATK / 9-second / 75% Projectile Speed figures were cross-checked against independent English coverage, which agreed.

We have not played her ourselves, so no tier placement is claimed. The uptime argument above is arithmetic from the published duration and cooldown, not a performance measurement.

FAQ

What is Pomegranate Cookie's skill in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Pomegranate Magic, on a 10-second cooldown. A red beam grants allies an ATK increase equal to 46.5% of Pomegranate's own ATK for 9 seconds, and grants 75% Projectile Speed Synergy for the same 9 seconds.

Why is Pomegranate considered the best Support in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Uptime. The buff lasts 9 seconds on a 10-second cooldown, so it is active roughly 90% of the fight. Most Synergy providers are up for half their cycle or less — Herb Cookie, for example, grants Volley for 3.5 seconds on a 6.5-second cooldown.

Which Cookies does Pomegranate pair with in Cookie Run: Crumble?

Her Projectile Speed Synergy is used by eight Cookies, including Madeleine Cookie and Milk Cookie's Crunchy Strong Pediatrician. But her ATK buff applies to the whole team regardless of Synergy, so she is rarely a wasted slot even when nobody on the team uses Projectile Speed.

Does Pomegranate work without matching Synergy?

Yes. The ATK increase is a team-wide buff and does not require Synergy matching. Only the 75% Projectile Speed portion needs a recipient. That is what makes her the safest Support to slot into an unfinished roster.
