Cookie Run: Crumble — Wizard Cookie (C Ranged)

Wizard Cookie is a C-rarity Light-element Ranged Cookie in CookieRun: Crumble. Their skill Magic Storm runs on a 4-second cooldown and summons lightning bolts that damage enemies. That sentence is the whole kit.

What Magic Storm does

Lightning bolts come down, enemies take damage, the timer resets. There is no second clause in the skill text: nothing is gathered, nothing is knocked back, nothing is slowed or weakened, and no ally gets a buff out of it.

Four seconds is a respectable number in isolation. Among the SSR Tanks, 4 seconds is the joint-fastest cycle in the class. The difference is that an SSR Cookie usually pays for a short cooldown with a plain skill; Wizard Cookie has the plain skill without the SSR stat line behind it, and a damage skill with no rider is worth exactly as much as the damage number attached to it.

We do not have base stat values for Wizard Cookie. The wiki publishes per-stat templates for SSR Cookies by class — SSR Ranged is 155 ATK / 60 DEF / 2,170 HP — but no equivalent figures are published for C rarity, so we are not going to guess at them here. Anyone quoting exact C-rarity numbers is inventing them.

Rapid Fire is the one Synergy Wizard receives

Wizard Cookie receives Rapid Fire Synergy, which increases how many times a skill activates. For a Cookie whose skill is pure damage with no side effect, that is the most directly useful Synergy possible — every extra activation is more lightning and nothing else changes.

The problem is that Rapid Fire is the scarcest Synergy in the game by demand. Twelve Cookies want it and exactly two grant it:

Grapevine Cookie is the pairing. It is R rarity — one of the cheapest Cookies in the game, and one of the three the game hands you for free at the start — and its 5.5-second cooldown is close to twice as fast as Orange Cookie’s 9.5. This is the site’s recurring point in a compact form: a low-rarity Cookie is the better source of a Synergy that a dozen Cookies are fighting over, and the SR alternative loses to it on cooldown.

Both providers are Supports, so slotting one in costs you a back-line slot rather than competing with Wizard’s own Ranged position. Full provider tables are on the Synergy page.

Wizard Cookie grants nothing

This is the part that decides Wizard Cookie’s long-term place on a roster. Only 18 of the 69 launch Cookies grant a Synergy at all, and Wizard is not one of them. The gives list is empty.

That matters because granting a Synergy is the one thing a low-rarity Cookie can do that a high-rarity Cookie cannot replicate. Grapevine Cookie stays in teams indefinitely at R rarity purely because it is one of two Rapid Fire sources in existence. Alchemist Cookie and Knight Cookie keep their slots for the same reason. Wizard Cookie has no such anchor: everything it contributes is damage, and damage is the stat that higher-rarity Cookies beat you on by default.

Competition: Ninja Cookie

Wizard Cookie has exactly one direct classmate — the only other C-rarity Ranged Cookie in the roster.

Ninja Cookie cycles twice as often. Both skills are plain damage, so cooldown is close to the whole comparison, and Wizard loses it. The one argument on Wizard’s side is Synergy supply rather than the skill itself: if the Rapid Fire provider you already own is Grapevine, Wizard benefits from a Cookie that is probably already in your team, whereas Ninja needs a Volley source instead.

That is a thin advantage, and it is worth being blunt about it. Against Ninja Cookie, Wizard Cookie is the slower of two plain damage dealers.

Should you build Wizard Cookie?

Use them early, then replace them.

C rarity with an empty gives list and one contested received Synergy is the profile of a Cookie that fills a slot while your roster is thin. Level Wizard Cookie if you need a Ranged body in the first week and you have Grapevine to pair with them, since that pairing costs you nothing you were not already running.

Stop investing once an SR or SSR Ranged Cookie is available. Wizard Cookie has no unique Synergy to protect its slot, and the skill gives you no reason to keep it over anything with better stats. Compare the Ranged options on the tier list tool before spending upgrade materials.
